Any Cream That Can Help Reduce The Small Lump Next To Pointer Finger Knuckle ?

I am 41 and about six months ago I developed a small lump next to my pointer finger knuckle I had it for over a month and it went away but I was left with a pink spot about the size of a dime around the area where it was, About a month ago I noticed this red ring around the area now it is about the size of a nickel. It is bright red on the outside and normal on the inside and it does not itch. I've tried different kinds of cremes and nothing seems to change it?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the pink spot after small lump next to pointer finger knuckle.

After reading your query it appears to be simple post inflammatory spot remained after healing of the lump.

I suggest you to not to apply any kind of creams over it for a time being period as excess of everything makes the condition worsened. These cream might be containing steroids in it so that may cause atrophy of the skin and further problems.

You can use plane moisturizing cream without any fragrance locally over the affected areas.

Do not try to scratch the area further as can cause secondary infection. You can take antihistamine like loratadine for two times a day.

If despite above measure you are not getting relief then it would be best to consult a dermatologist and take the best guidance.

Take care.
