Any Home Remedy For Painful Lump In Left Armpit Towards Breast?

I am female 35. Last week noticed lump in left armpit. It's more towards my breast then the center. The size is about the size of a quarter. Today it started hurting, more like a dull pain, hurts worse when I touch it. I feel a slight discomfort down the outside of left arm, through the elbow to wrist. Palm has a slight tingling feeling that comes and goes depending on what I am doing.

I have gotten swollen pores from deodorant before but this seems deeper under the skin.

Is there a home remedy I should try first like a heating pad or should I just get it looked at?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the painful lump in left armpit towards breast.

It appears form your query that you have developed infection in the area with inflammation at the affected region. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.

Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection.

If it is increasing despite the treatment then meet a dermatologist or any family physician and get a proper treatment without delay for the oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection.
