Any Ideas About Pressure In Sternum And Associated Nausea?
I have this pressure in my sternum area that s been with me now for a month or so. I also have nausea associated with it most of the time. I ve had this problem now for about a year but it goes away for a month or sometimes two then rears it s ugly head again. Sometimes there s pressure in the chest area too. I ve been to a my internist who did ekgs and stress test and everything was fine with my heart. My gastro doctor said he was 100% sure it was acid reflux by what I described to him a year ago. He prescribed omeprezole and I took it for awhile but it didn t do anything for me. It is worse now than it has been in the past. Do you have any ideas what this could be?
Welcome to HCM. Your doctor is right,it looks to be acid re flux after all cardiac investigations are within the range. You have to start rebeprazole with domperidone or cinitapride for long course. Lactic acid bacillus, enzyme preparations will be helpful. Avoid stress, anxiety. Take proper sound sleep. Avoid oily, spicy, junk food and fermented food. Take more liquids like lemon water, coconut water, buttermilk. Eat more simple and high fiber diet. Make some regular pattern for your diet. Do exercise, yoga regularly. Keep in touch with your doctor.
