Any Other Suggestion For Chondrocalcinosis, Mild Arthritis In Right Knee Other Than NSAIDs?

I have what has been diagnosed as Chondrocalcinosis and mild arthritis in my right kinee. My Primary Physian says she can do nothing but keep me on NSAIDs. My knee goes through stages of pain from bareable to sharp knife like stabs that just kill me. I do not like taking drugs of any sort and I also miss the fact that I no longer can do any serious walking. Is there anything that can be done to break the crystals up and get my knee back to normal.

hello there!
If your doctor said so he might have his reasons but i assure you NSAIDs are not the only options. Try discussing EDTA therapy or Pulsed Ultrasonographyplus surgical debridements and excisions of the depositions are also the options. SO go to your doc and ask him why did u said NSAIDs only when there were other options available. And then have asecond opinion about what is best for you
