Any Problems In Having Sex After Undergoing Vaginectomy For Irregular Pap Smear?

I had a hysterectomy about a year ago and now my doctor saw an irregular pap smear. He referred me to an OBGYN/Oncologist who now say I have to have a Vaginectomy Do you think a CT scan would help identify anything and what exactly is this operation & what about sex after I heal? The video and remarks looked horrible and I m not feeling very good about this.

Hello and welcome ma'am.

A CT scsn can only pick up the lesion if it has grown enough, but a pap smear helps in confirming the condition in its early stages by identifying those cells that can result in cancer. A vaginectomy is usually accompanied or followed by a vaginoplasty which will help you in retaining your sexual life.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
