Any Reasons For Recurrent Boils All Over The Body That Cause Severe Pain ?

i am suffering from boils for last one and half year i consulted doctors they prescribed antibiotics and sumag oint. and cap.zincosules(for 3 months) but still the boil comes out in my body head face legs and stomach at a time only one boil which lasts for15 to 20days with severe pain my sugar is normal pl advice why this problem my age is 60iam healthy having good phy

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Recurrent furunculosis/boils is due to staph aureus colonization of the nasal flora and skin flora.

While, Antibiotic course would help to eradicate the carrier state, but it may be required to continue antibiotics (guided by culture and sensitivity) for an extended period of time, say 1-3 months.

Application of topical 2% mupirocin ointment to the boils as well as to the Vestibule of the external nares helps to eradicate nasal carriage of staph aureus.

General precautions like maintaining meticulous hygiene (personal and surroundings), using antibacterial soaps would also help in addition.
