Any Safe Medication For Toddler For Nasal Allergies That Can Be Used For Long Time?

My 2 year old toddler is having serious nasal allergies that result in trouble, while sleeping at night. Decongestants and antihistamines like xynosine and Zyrtec should not be used for longer than three days, and I have tried both for temporary relief. However, these nasal allergies have become a persistent problem. Are there any safe medications that I can use for a longer time period?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
You may use saline nasal drops locally 2-3 times daily.
Steam inhalation 1-2 times daily may help.
Avoid cool drinks and ice creams.
Avoid cold atmosphere like sea shore and AC rooms
Zinc syrup may be used for 2 weeks, it has offered relief for some of my patients.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
