Any Specific Reasons For Sudden Increase In Pulse Rate ?
Hi, my blood pressure and pulse rate have been fine but since Sunday, my pulse rate has risen to 103 bpm, sometime 108bpm and to date is still averaging 103bpm. Is it that i may have eaten something that has caused this to happen over the weekend? I had a quantity of licorice on the weekend, maybe this along with some coffee has elevated my pulse rate as i have never had this happen before. Is there any reason to be alarmed?
Hello, If there is something you have consumed that has raised your pulse rate it will go away on its own once the substance like caffeine is washed out of the body. If the problem is persisting it is not normal to have a pulse rate over 100 bpm at rest. So you have to see a cardiologist.
