Any Suggestion For Feverish, Headache, Low Energy, Swollen Gums?
Hi.,
I got flu symptoms on wednesday last week , i was feverish, aches and pains, headache, low energy. I got swollen gums which went bright red across front top and bottom teeth. Ive been using a strong mouthwash which has took swelling down. They are very painful and bleed when touched. Do i need anti biotics?
I can understand your concern. The swollen gums do not have any relation with the flu symptoms that you have suffered last week.
It seems that your gums are inflamed due to presence of plaque, debris and calculus at the margins of teeth and gums that are not being cleaned due to inadequate oral hygiene. If that is not the case, it is possible that the hormonal changes or medicines that you might be taking for other disease has affected the gums this way.
I suggest that you should consult a dentist for clinical examination of the oral cavity. If debris and calculus is the reason, you should go for ultrasonic scaling procedure. If hormonal changes or other medications is the cause, the dentist will refer you to the concerned specialist.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
