Any Suggestion For Having Dark Black Area On Buttocks Other Than Using Hydroquinone, Ketoconazole And Fluconazole?
dear sir, i have dark black area on my buttacks which extending towards up and down it is persisted from 6-7 years.i have met a doctor given hydroquinone, ketoconazole ointment and fluconazole tanlet.is there any medicine to tone the skin color kindly help
I would have liked to know whether it is increasing in size? Is their any history of itching over it?
If it was preceded by some inflammatory condition then it is just Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation which can be made to fade away with various demelanising creams like containing one or more ingredients like kojic acid, hydroquinone, glycolic acid OR moderately potent steroid etc.
However i would like to rule out a possibility of Becker's nevus which appears in adolescents or teen and progressively increases in size, becomes raised and rough textured, and also becomes more hairy as compared to surrounding skin. Becker's nevus wont respond to any cream. LASER is the only effective modality.
So, I would advice that you visit a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis and rightful management.
take care
