Any Suggestion For Kid Suffering From Fever, Nose Block And Headache?
Hi doc, my son 5 year old got fever last night abt 101f along with his consistent nose block that he's been getting for almost a month ..I put some saline nose drops and got a feeling that the mucus is locked in ..please suggest some medicine? The nose block seems to occur mostly at night and last night he complained of headache .
Hello Your child might be suffering from allergic bronchitis . Monteleukast + levoceterizine is a most suitable allergic syrup . As you mentioned that child is also having fever so might need some tyelonol type anti pyretic syrup. As you mentioned that this type of blocking of nose usually occurs in the night time so steam inhalation also helps . Some times I advise some bronchodilators as ( salbutamol syrup ) . In few cases salbutamol cause mild shivers so need not to worry. All these medicines are a prescription drugs co consult PHYSICIAN and get his opinion. Good luck for son.
