Any Suggestion For Swollen Tonsil And Fever With History Of Cervical Hpv?
I have one swollen tonsil and low grade fever going on day 11. The infection in the one swollen tonsil has been cleared up with clindamyacin within the 11 days but the tonsil is still the size of a brussel sprout. The ENT does not want to see me back for 4 weeks and I am wondering if I should see someone else sooner since my low grade fever is still lingering and the tonsil is still swollen or if I should just wait the 4 weeks to see the ENT. Also, there has never been any pain associated with the infected tonsil and still do not have any pain. I am concerned it is lymphoma because I have been smoking for 20 years and have a history of cervical hpv that has caused cervical dysplasia in the past so maybe it affected my tonsil or lymph nodes as well.
Please dont worry as it is unlikely to be a lymphoma since it is reducing in size with the antibiotics. Please follow your ent doctors advice and be patient. I would also like you to gargle with warm salt water , it will help relieve your symptoms. Thanks
