Any Suggestions For Abdominal Pain While Lifting Heavy Objects?

Hello, I am a 33 yr old female and about 10 months ago I lifted a heavy box with books in it. As I was lifting, i felt this sharp pain in my right lower abdominal area (close to my pubic bone) in which I also felt discomfort in my private area. For the first couple of weeks, it would hurt if i held my urine in, and any pressure my jeans would put on that area would also cause pain. I went to the doctor and they checked me and said that it is probably a strained muscle and for me to limit my carrying of objects which I did but as it is almost 10 months since my injury, i still feel uncomfortableness with pain. Its as i aggravate it every time I carry something heavy. I can t lift heavy weights if not I feel pain, and frankly just from doing a lot of walking at times can also cause pain. I am not sure what type of doctor I should go visit. I have been active my entire life playing sports and staying in shape, and now I feel i can t continue to do the things I used to. I also want to get pregnant, but I am afraid the pain will be worse once I am carrying a baby. Any suggestions would be helpful as I know this is not right.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Back pain during sudden lifting of heavy weight suggest back muscles weakness. I would suggest you to start back muscles and abdominal muscle strengthening exercises. Avoid lifting heavy weight. You can take help of physio. Also start taking calcium and vitamin b 12in diet. If pain persist after these exercises show to a orthopedics surgeon.
