Any Suggestions For Sore Throat, Hot Flashes, Fever, Chills, Tiredness, And Weakness?

My boyfriend has a severe sore throat,hot flashes,little fever& chills,he is also very weak&tired.He hasn't been able to eat hardly anything because it hurts so bad&has no appetite.He is trying to drink fluids.It started last Thursday.He went to Doctor on Monday they give him antibiotics.They did not do a throat culture or any tests.He is still feeling terrible&the sore throat persists.Any suggestions?

Hi,

If the sore throat is not responding to antibiotics then it is necessary to do throat swab culture and blood tests. Antibiotic can be switched based upon culture and sensitivity report. In the meantime continue with antibiotic, analgesics and multivitamins.
