Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

A breathing problem which occurs only during times when you are idle or watching a tv or movies showing patients with oxygen, and gets relieved when distracting your mind is most likely anxiety-related. Remember, anxiety can manifest itself with not only psychological symptoms, but with physical symptoms also.

Libotryp is, in fact, an anti-anxiety medication, which has sedative properties as well. Now, if you have to go for night shifts, you can try taking the medication before you go to sleep in the day. There are also other anti-anxiety medication which don't cause sedation. So, you can ask your doctor for an alternative, non-sedating medication also.

I would also advise you to practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, yoga, etc., which will all help in relieving anxiety and hence relieve your breathing problems also.

Best wishes,
Dr. Sheeba Stephen
