Appetite, Chest Pain, Took Medicine, Positive ASO Test. Recommendations?
hi,
i was suffering with lost appetite from last 3-4 weeks, when i consulted to doctor he gave me some medicine and it worked, but now i have been suffering from chest pain started from right side and shifted to left side, looks like pain in heart.
in ASO test, it showed positive, and other tests were negative.
i am really scared because of heart pain. please suggest.
Your symptoms are not typical for any cardiac problem. However, I suggest to do an ECG and cardiologist consult can be done to exclude cardiac problems.
I suggest to go for an ultrasound of the abdomen and X-ray of the chest to exclude other problems such pneumonia, cholecystis problems, etc.
See an Internist / get yourself examined / at times, more investigation may be necessary... ASO is just an indicator of recent streptococcal infection… The limited information provided is not sufficient enough to arrive at an appropriate conclusion / you have not stated your personal habits, family history, or co-morbidities, even age or gender...
Take care Wishing all well God bless Good luck
