How Long Does It Take To Cure An Abscess Caused Due To Streptococcus Anginosus?

My husband contracted from a surgical proceedure in October, heavy streptococcus anginosus. He is in bad shape. The absess encompassed his entire lower abdomen and the bacteria was up into his back. He has been in the hosptial 10 days and they have not been able to cure him. How long is this going to take to get through?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Streptococcus infection rapidly spreads especially in an hospitalized patient.
Appropriate antibiotic and surgical drainage will lead to resolution of infection.
Further opinion about the status is possible by clinical examination of severity of the lesion

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
