Applied Veet (Hair Removal Cream) Around Vagina. Burning And Left A Burn Mark. Medicine?

Hello so I used veet around my vagina area on the outer lip area closer to my bikini line and it started to burn so i washed it off quickly after i had it on for about 3-5 min. I guess there was not a lot of hair in the area where it began to burn because thats the only place it burns but it is now a burn irritated mark there because it got burned by it. So what d o you recommend to make it go away fast ?

Hi thanks for writing here.It seems you have developed contact dematitis due to veet cream.Use mild soap over affected area like dove or baby soap,do not apply any antiseptic liquid like savlon or dettol which will produce more irritation.Apply steroid antibiotic combination like flutibact for few days.Use loose undergarments, take antiallegic drugs like cetrizine at night if required.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Veet or any other depilatory cream should be used with caution over genital areas as these areas are sensitive and any chemical based product can cause irritation of the area. The same has happened with you.
To treat the same apply a mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone for few days and take tablet cetirizine too. Hopefully in couple of days, the irritation should subside.
Hope that helps.
Take care

Hello,
Welcome to Health care magic
The burning sensation you felt is a sign of irritant contact dermatitis and good that you washed it off in 3-5 minutes, otherwise the damage would have been more. The skin near your vagina, is very sensitive and it is better to avoid depilatory creams over that skin.
Irritant contact dermatitis should be treated with topical steroid cream and a combination of that with an antibiotic is ideal an apply it twice a day. You can keep cold compresses if it is burning. In few days time it will become dry and flaky and fall off. Do not pick on the flakes. You may apply a moisturising lotion three times a day.
Hope this helped
