Are BP Of 116/80 And Pulse Of 67 Along With Sudden Dizziness Normal?

I am 68 and fairly fit, I play tennis two to three times a week but lately have suffered from sudden dizziness bouts on the court, mainly when serving. Today I was forced to stop playing after three sets due to this. I drink plenty of fluids while playing. An hour after playing my blood pressure was 116 over 80 and pulse 67.

Hi There

After going through your query I understand your concern.

I would like to tell you that your blood pressure and heart beat are quite fare and in range. This is a very good routine to stay physically active and healthy.
Possibilities of dizziness during working out or playing are low blood sugar, dehydration, low blood pressure etc.

It's advisable for you to
1. Eat atleast 2-4 hours before playing / execercising
2. Keep yourself Hyderated
3. Use sports drink to rehydrate and replenish electrolytes

Hopefully this will answer your query.

Kind Regards
Dr. Navneet Mahajan
