Are Butalbital And Acetaminophen Safe Medication?

I had a brain tumor removed 11 weeks ago, benign, front left temporal lobe that was growing into the skull. I get terrible pain from about 10 am until around 4ish. I have been prescribed butalbital acetaminophen 325-50. I take 1 pill a day. Can I get addicted to this? It s the only thing to relieve the pain, I can think clearly and see.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Physical dependence can occur with butabital. It may not occur in everyone but one of the signs would be noticing that the regular dose you normally use is not helping with the pain anymore.

At that point persons start increasing the dose because they need more for the same effect.

If you notice this then you would need to speak to your doctor.

I hope this helps
