Are Clobazam And Carbamazepine The Right Medication For Episodic Behavioural Disorder?
My mother aged 49yrs was under treatment. For granuloma in her right frontal lobe for 10yrs 4 months Back she started hearing voices nd was diagnosed with with episodic behavioural disorder she was given zeptra carbamazepine palip xr nd procydin and lobazam but nothing was getting better. So In consultation with dctr we stopped everything nd only carbamazepine and lobazam were continued as a result she was completely fine and not hearing any voices. But 7days back she again started hearing them and doctor has diagnosed psychosis this time. She is now on lobazam 20mg carbamazepine 900mg palido od 6mg nd parkin10mg. I want to ask if the medication is proper and how much time it could take for medicine to show any results.
I have gone through the detailed history and drugs you have mentioned. Yes, these two drugs are appropriate for her condition. Along with medicines, regular psychiatrist consultation for counseling is also very important. You can expect improvement in 4-5 weeks.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
