Hi,
1. As Hb is 10.6 gm/dl which means you are in moderate group of Anemia in Pregnancy, and because your
hemoglobin level is less than 11 g/dL, your Physician should determine the cause of anemia through CBC [complete blood count].
2. As a rule of Thumb:
iron deficiency is the most common cause of anemia in pregnancy, thus initial management begins with the evaluation of Iron Studies.
3. In 34 weeks [Third Trimester]: the initial choice for iron deficiency is combination of improved dietary intake and oral
iron supplements, and only if oral iron is not tolerated or anemia is severe then one can opt for injectable [through Z technique], and
4.
blood transfusion may be required:
If anemia is resistant to Iron
If severe anemia near term.
5. In your trimester: things to watch out are: Edema and
Hypertension, convulsions or any unusual per vaginal bleeding.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
