Are Labetalol, Metopril And Clonidine Safe To Take?
I have been prescribed labetlol, metopril, and clonidine lorsortan potassium. my bp is extremely high. is it safe to take all of these meds. bp is 270/131 sometimes. can I drink sparkling mineral water and lemon juice. I need help to bring this down, I don t eat salt. I am struggling with this blood pressure
These medications can be taken under close monitoring preferably in the hospital.
Based on the history you seem to have developed hypertensive urgency (severe hypertension) for which your doctor has prescribed three medications to reduce your high blood pressure.
They can be taken as prescribed. However, you should consult your doctor if you experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heartbeat.
Your doctor may adjust the dose of some medication or more frequent monitoring of your blood pressure to safely use both medications.
You can drink sparkling mineral and lemon juice without adding salt.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
