Can Clonidine Be Taken While Withdrawing From A Beta Blocker?

Hello, I read quiet few cases on people not taking a beta blocker while they are weaning of clonidine. However, what about the other way around? Would it be ok to take clonidine while getting off a beta blocker? I was in ER because I was having a bad reaction to the beta blocker (after 2 years - never did feel right after taking labetalol), so the took me off labetalol without weaning me and put me on clonodine. Just wanted to know if not weaning off the beta blocker will give me ramifications or will the clonidine take care of that?
