General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Incomplete data!

Yes, Losartan-Hydrochlorothiazide and Losartan potassium-Hydrochlorothiazide are the same medications useful in the treatment of high blood pressure or heart failure.

Isosorbide mononitrate 30 is an extended release formulation, has a high bioavailability and a longer half-life (4-6 hours) can be given once daily. Whereas the half-life of Isosorbide dinitrate is about 1 hour, and usually, can be given 2 to 3 times daily.

Because of the longer duration of action, Isosorbide monitrate is given once daily and whereas Isosorbide dinitrate has a shorter duration of action hence it is given twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
