Are Losartan-Hydrochlorothiazide And Losartan Potassium-Hydrochlorothiazide The Same?
I reorder my medicines I order By mail for 90 days ! I ordered losartan/hctz100/25 mg tablets and received losartan pot/hydrochloride othiazide tab100-25 mg is this the same thing? Also what is the difference between isosorbide mono nitrate 30 mg One tab in the morning. The isosorbide dignitaries 10 mg twice a day?
Isosorbide mononitrate 30 is an extended release formulation, has a high bioavailability and a longer half-life (4-6 hours) can be given once daily. Whereas the half-life of Isosorbide dinitrate is about 1 hour, and usually, can be given 2 to 3 times daily.
Because of the longer duration of action, Isosorbide monitrate is given once daily and whereas Isosorbide dinitrate has a shorter duration of action hence it is given twice daily.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
