Are Macpod And Azithral Advisable For Typhoid Fever?
My daughter detected typhoid on 18.8.16 and started macpod 400 twice daily but temperature still touched -03 Doctor added azithral 500 twice even. Now frequency of high fever reduced but still it touches 102.2. It is almost two weeks she is having fever when will it come to 100 or below 100

Understand your concern
Generally in typhoid first macpod like drug should be given for treatment.
But typhoid resistant to macpod does not give response. (resistant strain o salmonella)
So doctor provide you the azithral,
It is highly effective in treating the typhoid.
It will response in the next 1-2 week.
I advice you to repeat the typhoid test after 7 day to know the response.
Avoid outside food and water. Take pracetamol for fever.
Proper rest and give liquid diet more like fresh juice.
