Are Mebeverine Hydrochloride And Chlordiazepoxide Tablets Recommended Here?
About 4 months ago, I had dryness in the throat and foreign body sensation in the throat. Self went to ENT Specialist and he prescribed antibiotic i.e. Amoxicillin and later penicillin, The antibiotic course for about a 20 days. Later came to know that this is not throat infection but due to stomach problem. The over drugging of antibiotic caused loose motions and had to be hospitalized. Presently I am on medication RABLET D - Empty stomach in morning and Mebeverine Hydrocloride and Chloroiazepoxide tablet after dinner. Doctor advise to continue above medicine for about 2 months, pls advise if the medication is in order.

I am of the opinion that you had lose motions due to indiscriminate use of antibiotics. Stopping the antibiotic would have resulted in diarrhea to subside.
Mebeverine Hydrochloride is an antispasmodic which helps to relieve the pain and discomfort associated with gastrointestinal spasms.
Rablet -D is used to treat acidity related stomach problems and Chlorodiazepoxide is used to treat anxiety related lack of sleep.
Once the problems are subsided you may ask your doctor about the duration of the treatment.
