Are Melanocyl Tablets Advisable For White Patches All Over The Body?
Hi Dr, I have white patches I use to take Melanocyl tablets every day. When I use to consult with my dermatologist he advised me to take 2 tablets and a day and st in sun for 20 mins after 2hrs of consuming tablets. The problem was when use to take tablets I use to feel sleepy and could do any work, so I stopped taking tablets. Now patches are spreading allover by body. Also some doctors advised to not to eat any sea food and some dairy products and any thing that taste sour. Not sure what to do? Should I consider taking UV treatment or should I continue with the same prescription. Please advise.
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your symptoms of sleep episode and inability to do any work following the use of melanocyl yes it is a good idea to stop the drug but you have to inform your physician before doing that Also the dietary advice to prevent exacerbated skin reactions are in order Meanwhile since you have stopped the melanocyl for the white patches change to topical betamethasone this will take care of the patchy areas take tablet prednisone in case of any autoimmune reaction I hope this helps
