Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a condition which causes disturbances in
menstruation and defective ovulation, which can lead to
infertility issues and difficulty in conceiving.
It is a treatable disorder and when these disturbances are overcome, there is an improvement in the chances of conceiving. However, you need to be patient as the treatment would take some time to respond and it needs a regular follow-up visits.
What medication has been prescribed for you will do the following:
1. Metformin would help to effectively utilize blood glucose and helps in the process of ovulation.
2. Evion is vitamin E in capsule form, which has anti-oxidant functions and helps to reduce
oxidative stress and maturation of follicles for effective ovulation.
3. ME-12-OD contains Mecobalamin, which is a form of
vitamin B12. It prevents anaemia and also helps to keep the tissues healthy.
Kindly take the medications as prescribed. Gradually, with effectiveness of treatment, your chances to conceive should improve and should happen.
