Hi,

Thanks for posting in HCM.

I understand your concern about hair fall.

What dermatologist has given is right medication for androgenic alopecia.

Minoxidil 5% solution needs to be applied twice daily on dry hair everyday. By about 3 months, you will start appreciating decrease in hair fall. By 6 months to 1 year, you will appreciate new hair growth.

PROHAIR is male hair growth promoter. It contains Finasteride 1mg
and Minoxidil 50mg. Finastride is 5 Alpha-Reductase Inhibitor which inhibits the conversion of androgen testosterone into 5-dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Hence it works in Androgenetic Alopecia in Men.

You need to continue using these medications on a long term for about 3 to 5 years.

Hope the information provided is clear.
All the best.
