Are Motilium And Pantoloc Right Medications For Gastritis?
I have gastritis and have been prescribed motilium and panteloc and i have constant pain and nausea after six weeks still. I am also celiac and i am on a low phodmadic diet as well. why arent symptoms easing up. email address is YYYY@YYYY my name is charlene
Motilium contains domperidone that belongs to the group of medications known as dopamine antagonists is used in the treatment of indigestion, nausea, vomiting etc. It has a good advantage in the treatment of gastritis and is more effective than other conventional medical treatment according to some clinical studies. On the other hand, Pantoloc contains pantoprazole that belongs to the group of medications proton pump inhibitors or PPIs is used in the treatment of heartburn, acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease etc. It is also used to heal gastritis or inflammation of the lining of stomach by reducing the amount of acid the stomach makes. If your symptoms of gastritis doesn't reduce after taking Motilium and Pantoloc, then you should consult your prescribing doctor immediately for medical help. Your doctor may increase the doses or add another medications like antacid in your current treatment protocol.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
