Are Naproxen And Celebrex Good Alternatives Of Vimovo?
I am 57 years old and have osteoarthritis in both hips. I have been taking Tramadol and also Vimovo (naprozen and esomeprazole magnesium) for the last year. The Vimovo has increased in price to $3,000 for 60 pills! My doctor is giving me a choice of taking Naproxen or Celebrex instead of the Vimovo. Which would be best??

Vimovo contains Naproxen and esomeorazole.naproxen as well as celebrex both are routinely used in osteoarthritis.But both are associated with hyper acidity/stomach upset.For that you need to take any of anti hyper acidity drugs like omeprazole,pantoprazole,ranitidine etc.
I suggest to go for celebrex(Celecoxib) which is very potent drug along with add on anti hyper acidity drug
