I have an ear infection and I went to cvs to pick up my medicine. It was supposed to be oxafloxin ear drops but it said eye drops. I used it and figured it was a typo. But now I'm worried because the label said opthalmic use only and it thought that ment ear.
Oxafloxin (generic: Ofloxacin) is a fluoroquinolone. It is a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug and is used for both ophthalmic (eye) and ear infections. It has other uses as well, such as gastrointestinal infections e.t.c
You may use Oxafloxin for your ear infection without worry.
