Are Penidure Injections Advisable For A Person Suffering With High Antistreptolysin O Titer?
I have high ASO Titer about 800 and doctor suggested me penidure 12lakhs for 2years, once in every 15days. i live in a remote area and i doubt my local doctor s suggestion. can you please help me? Is it good to use penidure 12lakhs for every 15days for 2years?
As per my clinical experience, the Penidure injections can interfere with immunity of the person on initial dosage basis. In my routine practice, I advise to stabilize the acute inflammatory condition first with help of anti-inflammatory and supportive therapy and once the titers of the inflammatory mediators start falling, then Penidure injections can be taken safely.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
