Are QVAR 80 And Dulera Safe And Effective Inhalers?
Hi,Myname is Roxanne and I was recently prescribed two inhalers that are helping my asthma and I wanted to know if they are the newest meds to help asthma. My job of 33 years is on the line. One more day calling out because of my asthma I m terminated from my job and this has me really worried. The two inhalers are QVAR 80 MCG/ACT AERS and Dulera 200 mcg/5 mcgACT AERO? Thanks
Qvar (beclomethasone) is good for controlling and preventing asthma symptoms, but it's not a rescue inhaler and must be taken daily.
Dulera (mometasone/formoterol) is good for people who have moderate to severe asthma and need more than 1 inhaled medication to manage their condition.
In the end, the right inhaler is the one that works for you as an individual. While your first instinct may be to go with the latest drug, remember that "new" doesn't always mean "best".
Opt for the corticosteroid inhaler that uses the lowest dose that controls your symptoms with the fewest side effects.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
