My wife is 6 weeks pregnant but some days underwent hemoptysis treatment of broncoscopy, her all Test reports related tb gold etc are negative but still doctor adviced to take r-cinex 450 mg and banadon drugs for some month. My question is 1. Is this drugs intake are safe in her pregnency period? 2. After 15 days of lungs broncoscopy she has rapid severe dry cough in the day time but while sleep at night her cough goes away, what could be the cause and remedies to stop severe cough? 3. The glue to block upper lobe bronchitis bleeding installed was 4 ml was it sufficient or exceed amount since on her second bronchoscopy there was removed exceeded amount of glue from her lungs vain and she was kept on ventilator for 10 hrs with anesthesia was given while second bronchoscopy.
Benadon is nothing but a vitamin supplement that will help with the efficacy of the anti-tubercular medications. Whereas r-cinex contains isoniazid and rifampicin. Both of which are included in the C category of pregnancy drugs. This category includes drugs which can have side effects, but not always do. So if at all your wife is showing signs of TB and this is a risk versus benefit scenario, then it is best to continue with these medications.
Cough will be present as long as the infection is present and the bronchoscopy was successful, although not completely therapeutic.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
