Are Tramadol And Tylenol Advisable For Pain And Inflammation In Knee?
I hit my knee and then twisted it a bit. This similar swelling of my knee occurred last year. I have iced and warmed it for 2 days with little results. Can I take apo-tramadol / acet 37.5/325mg for the inflammation and Tylenol 625 for the pain. When I usually have joint paint I will take Tylenol (2x625) every eight hrs. 60 yr old male with controlled type 2 diabetes (janumet1000x 1 time daily)
Well the best and first line of drugs for knee pain, arthritis and inflammation are NSAIDS like Aspirin(Ecotrin) or Ibuprofen(Advil).Tylenol(Acetaminophen) is good analgesic and can be used to relieve pain but not helpful in reducing inflammation. As far as Tramadol is concerned,it belongs to opiods group and it is not first line of drug, secondly it is also just a pain killer and has property to alleviate inflammation. Moreover opiods have addictive potential so it not advisable in first place. My suggestion will be to use Advil or Aleve but you can take Tylenol also for pain relief.Hope it helps you. Thanks and regards
