Are Woflox-OZ And Pantolac-OD Advisable For Diarrhea With Mucus?

My husband is suffering from diarrhoea since last 3 days along with fever. Medicines prescribed include woflox-OZ 500 mg twice daily, Entolac- od, antacid emptystomach. Investigation of stool done and mucus detected, also acidic nature has come. Very little relief till now. Want to know whether undergoing right treatment.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your husband have symptoms of diarrhea with mucus which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis and electrolyte imbalance in body. It could be due to poor immunity and increased susceptibility of getting infected. Need not to worry. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate body fluids. I would suggest you not to panic at all. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. Woflox-OZ and Pantolac-OD is perfect combination of medications for your husband's condition. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start treatment after prescription. You should get intravenous fluid administration as well. You should take banana on daily basis and light food.
