Are Zerodol-P And Zifi-CV Advisable For High Fever And Severe Cough?

My husband is suffering from high fever(102-103) from 4 days and from yesterday, he is coughing with throat and chest pain.One doctor had prescribed him paracetomol and topcef(antibiotic),but the fever didn t come down and daily after 4 hours of taking medicine the fever was around 100 degree.So yesterday we went to another doctor and he prescribed-Zerodol-P(4 doses a day, 10 tablet), ZIFI-Cv-200,(2 doses,6 tablet),ALTHROCIN-500,3 doses,10tablet,Syp. ASTHAKIND-Dx(4 doses) and PAN-D(daily 1 doses for 3 days). Could you please review the prescribed medicine whether it is correct or not?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your husband have symptoms of high fever and severe cough which seems to be due to bronchitis/upper respiratory tract infection. It could be due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and X-ray chest as well start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should get pulmonary function test done to check level of infection. Zerodol-P and Zifi-CV is the right medication combination for you. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen. Do tepid sponging. Avoid intake of outside food and cold carbonated beverages.
