Hello sir my daughter was one and half years old she was suffering from typoid and the blood test report was s.typhi o : positive 1:40 diln s.typhi h : positive 1:40 diln and paratyphi A(H)&B(H) : negative 1:20 diln total WBC count : 7cells/cumm. Doctor prescribed cefixime oral suspension IP CEFIRAK dry syrup and the paracetamol paediatric oral suspension IP Moltem-250... Anything serious doctor?...

S tyohi O: 1:40 and S typhi H: 1:40. If fever is present then it could be due to typhoid fever. The above value have clinical significance and it may occur in first week of typhoid fever. Do not worry. You require proper treatment under advise of pediatrician. The doctor provided correct treatment Continue to take cefixime oral suspension, Cefirak dry syrup, Paracetamol oral suspension, Moltem-250.

Give proper fluid to maintain dehydration. Maintain proper hygiene. Repeat test after 1 week to know the progress and treatment response.
