Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain agitation, irritation and tantrums in
teething toddler are due to pain and discomfort in the mouth and gums and it can lead to irritability..
Cutting of molars from the gums can cause pain and inflammation of gums and continuous soreness can occur along with
drooling of saliva and when you try to feed him it can be painful and as the child is unable to explain the discomfort it comes out as agitation and irritability..
Teething toddlers can also experience some
stomach discomfort and pain leading to can cry but cannot explain the problem..
Nothing to worry as there is nothing serious and he will be fine soon..
You should consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated and he can advise him some over the counter painkillers like
Tylenol as well as cool compresses over the gums..
Feeding him with a semi solid diet and plenty of fluids will help..
You can also give him chilled refrigerated teething rings which he can bite over and get gratified and relieved of pain and discomfort feeling..
Phenargan can be advised to him that can also help in sleeping but should not be given without doctors advise after a proper evaluation..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
