Are Blackout Spells Common In Children Who Have Neurofibroma?
my 13 year old daughter has been having left arm pain associated with tingling,numbness, sharp pains, and discoloration along with the arm being colder than the other. She has swelling (hard painful knot) above clavicle area. The symptoms became severe after she had a tumor removed from her right overy back in June. Tha first complaint of left arm pain came after a blackout spell over a year ago. She didn t hit anything at the time of the spell. Are blackout spells common with children who may have a neurofibroma?

you say your daughter had a tumor removed from right ovary ,most likely a dermoid or germinal tumor.Your child now has what is called a decrease in blood supply to the arm and is also painful.Neurofibroma can be a isolated swelling or can be generalised in any part of the nervous system.Please see a neuro /vascular surgeon who will ask for special MRI tests of the brain to see the structure and blood supply.Best of luck
