Are Burning Sensation During Urination And Blood In Urine Normal While Having UTI?

Diagnosed with uti last thurs. Had one in jan. Since I had severe reaction to Bactrim in jan, prescribed it roku ranting this time. Seemed to be workjng. But burning came back and today there was some blood. Called doctor and said specimen from last thurs showed blood, even tho not visible to me. Will see doctor tomorrow. Anything special I should ask or do or be concerned about?

Hi...Can understand your concern...As per your query about getting burning sensation and blood in urine while having UTI suggest that there is severe infection and may have reached kidney..you have to note weather its like fresh blood or dark like in clots colour..Another possible reason can be stone in kidney which is causing blood to come.You need not to worry about and consult a nephrologist and get investigation like urine culture and senstivity and an ultrasonography done to come to proper diagnosis and treatment accordingly.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
