Are Burning Sensation In Penis And Low Sex Drive Suggestive Of Bacterial Infection?

Hi, I recently visited an Asian massage parlor, about 3 days ago. I was given a table shower before the massage. I then received the massage, and also a happy ending, and that was it. Now a few days later, I am sure I have contracted something from the table shower. My symptoms are I feel nauseous, I feel fatigued, I have a burning pain in my penis all day and also am very weak in my penis, as in zero sexual desire and a nagging feeling all day. I feel like the urge to urinate all day but not much comes out. Also my body aches all over. If stds can t transmitted outside of the body, could it be some other type of bacterial infection, or could stds be evolving to be transmitted this way? There is definitely something happening because I am normally a active and healthy man, with great sexual feelings..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

STDs are transmitted when body fluids or secretions come in contact. Most common means is by sexual route. It is unlikely from your description that you could have contacted STD.
It appears from your description that you could be have developed urinary tract infection.
Kindly get your urine sample tested for:
1. Urine routine examination.
2. Urine culture and sensitivity test.
Kindly consult Urologist with the laboratory report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
In case the infection is evident, you need to be treated by means of a course of antibiotics, following which you should be back to normal soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
