Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
a couple of days ago, canker sores appeared towards the back of my tongue and at the upper part of my throat. last night I noticed blood when blowing my nose and when spitting out some mucus that had thickened in my throat. could this be serious, or is it a common/passing issue?
Go to the ER. There might be secondary infection and also that deep far canker sores usually found near lips and near tongue. Take gargle with Chlorhexidine and tab Natalins for a week, You may need ointment too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
