Are Chronic Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck And Tiredness Apart From Recurrent Varied Infections Indicators Of A Serious Concern?
I m 28 years old. Was very healthy as a child. Since 22 years of age I ve had the lymph nodes in my neck are very swollen for a two and a half years, Kidney infection not urine infection, Mono, pneumonia 4 times, Sinus infections, and get 8 plus hours of sleep a night and still tired the next day, I just want to feel better!
Swollen lymph nodes and recurrent serious infections could be of a serious concern, yes. However, it is probably unlikely that it is malignant, due to the time period of 6 years. To be completely sure, you will have to go to a doctor and get your lymph nodes checked. Ultrasound, biopsy or so is indicates for lymph nodes being swollen for this long. I will also recommend a wide screening of blood samples, especially red and white blood cells and their differentiation count.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kasper Kristensen, General & Family Physician
