Are Coccyx Pain And Blackout During Bowel Movement Suggestive Of Colon Cancer?

My tailbone has been hurting for the last few years and recently it has been getting worse. I passed out today while using the bathroom at a gas station and the ambulance was called. They looked at my butt and they said that there is bruising caused by internal bleeding going from my hole to my crack. She inserted her finger into hole and said she couldn t feel anything. I am nervous that it could b colon cancer like that say it might b. I have an appointment on the 29th. I also have major gastrointestinal issues and they said it could b caused by that. My bowel movements are dark and foamy. I m either piling or puking. Please help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It does not sound like colon cancer. It sounds more like a hemoroidal issue or something similar. I suggest you have a colonoscopy to be sure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen
