Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic

Oral contraceptives given in combination with insulin therapy may result in changes in insulin requirements (increases or decreases). You might need a small adjustment to your insulin dose, for which you need to consult your physician. Generally, the effect is slight for combined oral contraceptives. The effectiveness of the oral contraceptive is however not reduced.
