Usual side effects include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, menstrual disturbances, weight gain, dizziness and breast tenderness. Some of the the symptoms you are experiencing is the side effects of the depot shot. But gradually it should subside and you will feel lot comfortable from it. Constipation is generally not caused due to depot shot. It must be due to some other cause. To overcome it, you need to consume high fibre diet, eat more fruits, drink good quantity of water and take laxatives if required like Isapgol Husk powder dissolved in water at bedtime.
