Are Developmental Issues Long Term Effects Of Ecstasy On A Child?

My nephew ingested ecstasy at the age of 14 months. He is now 11 years old. He suffers from an irregular heartbeat and is very small for his age. Are these possibly effects of the MDMA overdose and what are the long term effects of ecstasy on a child? Will he have marked developmental issues?

Hello. I just read through your question.
Though ecstasy ingestion is not recommended at any age, it is not possible to draw a line directly from his ingestion to his developmental problems today with any true certainty. I recommend addressing his issues, regardless of the cause.
